1.0  ADMINISTRATION

1.1  Duty Schedule

1.2  Camp Information Night – Tuesday June 12th

ALL cadets who have been selected for summer training are required to attend with a parent. Cadets will receive their joining instructions and additional information to prepare them for summer training. Again, this is mandatory for only cadets going to summer training.


2.0  TRAINING & OPERATIONS

2.1  Graduation Parade – Tuesday June 5th

This Tuesday will be the Graduation Parade and final Commanding Officer’s Parade, for the training year. Several awards, promotions, qualifications, and special presentations will be made during this parade, and it will serve as a practice for the Annual Ceremonial Review, the following Sunday. All parents are invited and strongly encouraged to attend. Cadets are to arrive at their regular timing, guests are asked to be seated for 7:15pm in the Armoury. The dress is FTU for cadets and CADPAT for military personnel.

Immediately following the parade, parents will be asked to take part in Support Committee elections, to decide who will form the executive group that assists the cadet corps with fundraising, logistical support, and recruitment. Learn more about the Support Committee here .

2.2  Annual Ceremonial Review (ACR) – Sunday June 10th

2677’s ACR will take place during the weekend of 9-10 June 2018. This activity is mandatory for all cadets.

Timings:

Drop off – Saturday June 9th 1300hrs, Pembroke Armoury.
Pick up – Sunday June 10th, after ACR reception.

Meals:

Cadets will be provided meals from lunch June 9th till lunch June 10th.

Dress:

Cadets are to arrive in C8 . Shorts or non-ripped jeans with running shoes (no sandals) is acceptable.  Cadets will need to bring their entire dress uniform (less tunic and tie) on a hanger, with boot polishing kit. Double check you have everything the night before.

Guests: Military is 3B, Civilian is business casual for the ACR parade.

Kit List
  • Full dress uniform (less tunic and tie)
  • Boot polishing kit
  • Water bottle
  • Issued Olive Drab t-shirt and civilian jeans or shorts. No rips or holes.
  • Sleepwear
  • Sleeping bag and small pillow
  • Hygiene Kit (tooth brush/paste, deodorant, soap, shower shoes, razor and shaving cream for males, etc)
  • Towel
  • Sunscreen

Note that the cadet corps only has one iron and ironing board. It is recommended some cadets bring an iron and ironing board to prepare their uniform.

Support Committee elections will be held 5 June 2018, after the Graduation Parade. All parents are invited to attend, and to consider joining the committee in an executive position .

ABOUT US

With well over 50,000 members, the Cadet Program is one of Canada’s largest youth organizations. Membership is open to teenagers (male and female) from 12-18 years old.

We appeal to teenagers craving exciting outdoor activities where their personal limits as individuals and team-members will be tested. The hardcore outdoor-oriented will love the challenge!
